Music as Therapy

Therapeutic Music Mentoring

Music can touch our hearts where words alone can't.  It is the universal language of mankind, connecting us to each other, ourselves and the natural world. From a young age I was fascinated by making music, exploring sound and instruments; the deep connections they bring and the refuge they provide. Music can build bridges to others and to our emotions and feelings where language and words fall short.

Connect

I work across Dorset and surrounding areas as a freelance therapeutic music mentor mainly with children and young adults. My sessions are a safe space to explore music, emotions, joy, peace, fun, wonder and to find connection and respite.

Breathe

Yes this could be perfect for you or your young person. Challenges in life come to us like the waves in the ocean and these sessions aim to help navigate and ride those waves especially when at times they may appear overwhelming.

Collective Projects

There is something so exciting, healing and beautiful when a group of people connect through music and sound; a drum rhythm shared; a sound passed around; a song idea floating from one to another; laughter and freedom to share and explore.

It was a privilege to journey with Beaucroft College students and spend time as a group in the studio with local legend Matt Black to produce this masterpiece! Written and performed by our young people it was a 10 month project and a joy to be a part of.
